http://www.hunt-the-wolf.com/Between 25 - 28 April 2012 the WOLF calls again to Transylvania. Already for the 6th time the purest 100% off-road race of Europe will take place near Cluj-Napoca. New in 2012: 4 full days of race, the location moved 50 km further into the mountains, no GPS need in the easier categories and for the first time as well 2 days of race for Hard Enduro bikers.
Every year the racing season begins in Transylvania/Romania with the already classical HUNT-THE-WOLF. In the category Extreme no other competition offers such a challenging off-road-driving, but for the less experienced racers and for the more and more often seen UTVs the tracks will be at a merciful level. The organizers from Authentic-Spirit and Primul-ATV-
Magazin, represented by Mihai Concioiu and Oliver Renzler, try to give the best in choosing themselves the tracks and realize this event, in order to fulfill furthermore the high requirements expected by the participants. Both organizers are successful ATV-racers, with since recently a big interest for Hard Enduro-Biking. So what could be more logical than to organize HUNT-THE-WOLF 2012 also for bikers. And the perfect partner and sponsor for this was found just in time with the energy producer ENERGOBIT and its executive director being also himself an enthusiastic off-road ATV and Moto driver.
As every year HUNT-THE-WOLF experiences innovative ideas also in 2012. If until now new accents were set by night race, GPS-track-recording, trials, closeness to the city, mass starts and others, the event will now experience basic changes. For example the racing days will be moved from the city-surroundings and it's friendly hills into a real mountainous landscape 40 km away, the category Open will not need the GPS anymore since orientation will be given by maps only, Quads will be allowed to start in Extreme.
The night-race, which produced so much adrenalin, is replaced with new ideas, the same happens with the spectacular trial, which took place in front of the biggest commercial center of Transylvania. The organizers do not reveal all details yet, but sure is: much more adventure is to be expected, but also complex orientation in the wild western Carpathians.
The most important addition includes the Hard Enduro-biking into the race-event. But 2- and 4-wheel racers will meet only at start and finish racing on completely different tracks. While ATV- and Quad-drivers will drive 4 full days through the wilderness, 2-wheel-bikers will race only 2 days in 2 categories. The bikers tracks will be all marked, while the 4-wheel drivers have to orientate by GPS and in Open with maps only.
While riders of ATVs, Quads and UTVs can expect perfectly adapted difficulties in 4 different categories, from real extreme tracks to easy ones for beginners, the Hard Enduro bikers will have only an advanced B and a regular easy C class.
The tax, 160 Euro for 4-wheels and 80 Euros for 2-wheel-racers, includes a lot of services: from tracks, permits, safety, common events to great prizes.
Therefore keep in mind: HUNT-THE-WOLF 2012, 25 - 28 April for ATVs, Quads and UTV. From 20-22 April for all Hard Enduro bikers. The transport of the vehicles from Central Europe to the place of the event is also offered by the organizers for net prices: for 4-wheel vehicles approx. 400 Euro round-trip, for 2-wheelers approx. 300 Euro.
